About Pepperoni's Pizza Restaurant: Pepperoni’s Duluth was born from the collaborative efforts of Phil and Bill in 1997. Both Phil and Bill’s Grandparents were in the hospitality business--- Phil’s Grandparents owned a “saloon” in Northern Kentucky called “Charlie’s” and Bill’s Grandparents were the proprietors of the “Holly Hotel” in Central Michigan. Both establishments were renowned in there time. As frequently happens, neither Bill nor Phil’s parents continued in the family businesses. The passion returned in the next generation. Both Bill and Phil worked in foodservice in their teens and had a fortuitous meeting while working for the C.A. Muer Corporation. They were managers for the well known Detroit seafood restaurateur. During their time there, they were privileged to work for Corporate Chef and native Italian Larry Pagliari. Chef Larry was notorious for his obsession for “quality meals”. This statement remains as our mission and in our logo to this day.
