Ingredients: (makes 2 cups)
2 cups water 1 tbsp fennel seeds 2 green teabags (optional) 2 tbsp lemon juice Honey or agave nectar (optional)
Directions:
- In a coffee grinder or your pestle and mortar, lightly crush or grind the whole fennel
- Add them to a saucepan with the water
- Bring to the *boil, then simmer for 2-3 minutes
- Turn off the heat, add the lemon juice, and if using, add the green tea and sweetener and let steep (sit) for 5 minutes
- Remove the bags and pour through a strainer
