About Chef Rob's Caribbean Cafe: Extensively trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Chef Robert Gayle has demonstrated his superior talents and his creative abilities for more than 15 years to some of America’s most recognizable celebrities including Russell Simmons, P. Diddy, L.A. Reid, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Lethon Flowers, and Dikembe Mutombo.
Known to many as "Chef Rob,” his fascination with culinary arts began when he obtained his first job at age 13, working as a steward in Brooklyn, New York. While in high school, Robert spent his summers working in some of New York's most exclusive, private resorts. As a high school senior, he obtained an internship at prominent New York restaurant, Hosteria Fiorella; it didn’t take Rob long to realize he found his passion.
As his career progressed, he gained extensive experience and knowledge in French, Italian, and American cuisines. In 1997, Chef Rob was sought by music mogul, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, to help develop the concept of Justin's Restaurant, Atlanta. During his three and a half year tenure as Head Chef at Justin's, Chef Rob led the staff, spearheading the complete menu selection – including thematic foods and special event planning.
The more Rob studied the art of cuisine, the greater his desire to personally build a reputation for providing exceptionally fine fare. Establishing Chef Rob’s Caribbean Café has been a pinnacle in Robert Gayle’s career. His infusion of Jamaican, Asian, American and Southern cuisines are innovative and wildly creative.

I really have to say, I had a most disgusting and disappointing experience with ChefRob's. They catered an affair for our corporate event and it was a diaster. They ran out of food and provided very small portions. Also, the oxtails were awful, I have and can cook oxtails better than what was served. I will not ever go to their restaurant based on the awful experience they provided to our company.
