Info: The best steak in Atlanta, hands down. This place is a little small and dark and sometimes can be a little noisy, but the steak is incredible. The older Buckhead crowd at the bar and the lounge singer on the piano help to create a truly unique atmosphere...we think it's awesome. Info: The first Hard Rock Cafe (HRC) opened its doors to the public on June 14, 1971, in London, England. Founded by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, two enterprising and music-loving Americans, HRC was an instant classic, attracting droves of customers with its first-rate, but moderately priced casual American fare, warm service and ever-present rock 'n' roll music and sensibility. Rey Diaz convinced his uncle, Rene Diaz, to come out of retirement and move to Gwinnett to help him with the restaurant. Rene, known as "Tio" to most customers, has been a chef for 45 years, has owned his own restaurant and was the head chef at a popular Miami Cuban restaurant. He brings that background to Havana South with his popular dishes. Entrees are primarily divided into five sections: carne (beef), lechon (pork), arroz (rice dishes), pollo (chicken) and mariscos (seafood). The bistec palmilla, a grilled Cuban style steak and the chicharon de pollo hueso, or fried chicken chunks with the bone, are customer favorites.
